Goh Notes is a research and brainstorming center for SEGA AM2’s Virtua Fighter 5, with a slight focus on the Judoka character Goh Hinogami. Here you can find the newest information from the hardcore VF community, articles on tactics and techniques, interviews and much more. With the addition of the Blue Book, the site gained an extra resource for every serious Goh players, providing them with character-specific advice as well as an extra section on universal combo.
Leonard McCoy discovered Virtua Fighter on the PC in 1996, and began playing the series from then on.
Being disappointed by Virtua Fighter 4, he more and more turned towards the then-dated Virtua Fighter 3 in 1999 and 2000. Leonard is still of the opinion that the evade button was a better solution to the problem of evading into the 3rd dimension. To him, VF4 and VF5 suffer from button over-assignment.
Having returned to the newest installment of the franchise on the Xbox 360, Virtua Fighter 5, he tries to get into the matter again. On his way back to becoming an active player, he tries to carefully write down every new aspect worth noting, commenting on strategies and tactics as they come by. Leonard is a fan of VF5’s online mode claiming it to be the best invention to the series since VF3. “It can bring remote people closer together, while playing, talking about and studying their most beloved game – Virtua Fighter,” says McCoy.
In real life Leonard did fencing for 7 years, Judo and Jeet Kune Do. He now considers himself to be somewhat lazy, more and more getting into music, literature and of course good video games.

Hello Leonard,
I really think your website is great. I have Virtua fighter 5 and just got into it. My favourite characters were Pai chan and Rafale, but then I seemed to think Goh had a lot of potential. So I am trying to master him, but it really is not easy. You have really explained into depth all his moves, bit there is one particular move that you do in tutorial that Goh does not inflict any damage on the dummy. I do apologise because I’m not with the game now as I could tell you the exact button combination, bit I do hope you understand me. He seems to hop to the side of the dummy, but does not touch it. It is not the move that he MOVES to the side and low kicks the opponent making him or her stumble, no. He HOPS with his whole body to the side of the character and can do so either side. If you can, please tell me what that action is actually for. Also, do you have any otherfavourite character, and made notes on them? Thank you
